| Beschreibung | SITOR-A (Also known as AMTOR-A) is one of two modes of SITOR, which stands for Simplex Teletype Over Radio. |
SITOR-A ist eine von zwei verschiendenen Arten von SITOR, das sich von Simplex Teletype Over Radio (zu deutsch:"irgendwas") ableitet. Es basiert auf CCIR 476-4. Es wurde meist dazu gebraucht kurze Nachrichten der Marine zu übertragen, auch wenn die Marine zur Zeit eher dazu tendiert PACTOR zu benutzen. AMTOR ist eine Unterart von SITOR, das von Amateurfunkern verwendet wird.
SITOR-A wurde mit Bandweiten von 170, 300, 400 und 850 Hz gesichtet. Dennoch wird meist mit 170 Hz und 100 Bd gesendet.
